A disembodied hand holds a Cup overflowing with water, which falls in five streams into the sea below. Above the Cup is a dove holding a host in its beak.
There is a letter on the Cup, evidently a ‘W’, though some authors say it is an inverted ‘M’. There is some reason to believe this, as the ‘W’ in other cards shows that the letter is more spread out. I don’t know the significance of this letter in either case.
Cups and Water can represent intuition and the Unconscious. They can symbolize emotion and love. The Ace clearly shows that Cups also represent Spirit. The dove has long been a symbol of the Holy Spirit; the host and cup are utensils used in the Christian rite of Communion.
There are several small objects depicted on the card, that might seem to be drops falling; however, they are not shaped as drops. They are shaped as the Hebrew letter ‘yod’ (י). This is the first letter of the Name of God.
