Page of Cups

A young man regards the Cup he holds in his right hand. A fish is visible in the Cup, almost appearing to converse with the Page. Behind the Page is water, a little stirred up but not stormy. The Page is dressed somewhat richly, a floral pattern on his tunic.

Pages often represent an immature energy, the result of a person being young and inexperienced. Sometimes it may also hint at youthful vigor and enthusiasm, as well as curiosity. Water can symbolize emotions, love in its various forms, and Spirit. A fish showing in the Cup could hint at creativity.

The stirred-up water might hint that the Page is troubled about something; his feelings may be unsettled.

Cups have the element Water; they represent the emotions, love, Spirit, the Unconscious. A Page, being young, might not have much experience with love; his spiritual development might be nascent. He may mature and become wise in time, but at the moment he is a novice.
