Two of Swords

A blindfolded woman is seated, holding two Swords crossed over her chest. Behind here there is a sea with islands. In the sky we can see the Moon.

This scene shows someone evidently immobilized. Her eyes are covered so that she can’t see; and her hands are full by holding two Swords. She’s not going anywhere.

By crossing her chest, she blocks her heart. She cannot give or receive love or any emotions. The image suggests doubt and indecision. By being blindfolded, there is suggestion that she cannot see what she needs to know. This limitation is illusory, however.

The woman could easily uncross her arms; she could remove the blindfold and see her situation. Although a decision needs to be made, she may be avoiding making a choice.

It might also be that there just isn’t enough information to form any clear choice. She may need to learn more.

Ultimately, the figure can free herself any time she wishes. However, at the moment, she chooses to remain where she is, stuck and immobile.
