Page of Swords

We see a young man more or less wielding a Sword. He’s got it in his hands, but he’s not paying any attention to what he’s doing with it. His body seems to be moving towards the right, but his face is turned to the left and away from the Sword. His energies are scattered and ineffective.

Pages are immature people, young and perhaps naïve. This youth is not handling his Sword properly. Possibly he lacks training; possibly what is lacking is discipline.

Swords can represent thinking and reason. With the youthful energy of the Page, this card may describe someone who has creative new ideas. He may need to stop scattering his energies if he hopes to become effective. If he can focus, he can be creative.

Pages (and the other court cards) can represent actual people in the Querent’s life. Keep in mind that the actual person need not be of the same gender as the person in the card. It is their energy that is important, not their physical manifestation.
