A woman stands in a garden among lush vegetation and ripening fruit; there are Pentacles surrounding her. She holds a falcon on her wrist. In the distance is a castle, evidently hers.
This woman has abundant wealth. The falcon has been described as representing discipline, control over her senses or her physical body. In front of her towards our left is what appears to be a snail. No clue what that might signify. I expect that it has some significance, however.
The one noteworthy feature of this image is that the woman is alone. Is she self-sufficient, or lonely? Or perhaps both?
All of the Nines are alone. Nine of Wands is standing guard alone. Nine of Cups is sitting smug and self-satisfied, surrounded by his Cups. Nine of Swords is alone in bed, suffering from anxiety or nightmares. And our Nine of Pentacles is also alone.
